Paintings by Marcia Aitchison
I do very different abstract art.
I have been painting for many years. Color and shape have always been the way I make sense of the world, long before I could put it into words.
At 77, I finally have the time to paint, and I am making the most of every day at the easel. Each piece follows its own path, and no two ever look alike.
My hope is simple: that a painting of mine brings a little more color, calm, and wonder into your home.

Color first. Feeling always.
I begin with color and let the painting lead. Layers of paint move, blend, and settle until the piece feels finished to me.
There is no right way to look at abstract art. I invite you to take your time and notice what each painting brings up for you.

Color, Movement, and Light
Painted in Golden Valley, Arizona.
The desert light, wide skies, and changing colors of northwest Arizona find their way into every canvas.
